If you watch your empty calorie intake, and eat higher quality food instead of junk you will see some results fairly quickly. Not to mention you will feel better and have the satisfaction of knowing that you are making progress. Even though you face additional challenges, weight loss is possible. It can help reduce the stress and pressure on your knees, and your heart. Each pound lost makes a difference, and help you get closer to a healthy weight. And make you less susceptible to illnesses associated with being overweight. My father always told me that he wasn't handicapped, he was “Handi-Capable”. I have watched members of my own family overcome great obstacles; I know you can do it too. Be safe, go slow, but don't throw in the towel before you have put up a fight.
